EV Charger Dealership & C&F Partnership in India: How It Works

India’s EV charging market is growing at roughly 80% a year, and one of the clearest ways for entrepreneurs to enter it is through a dealership or distribution partnership. If you have local business relationships and want to build EV charging infrastructure in your region, a Carrying and Forwarding (C&F) partnership can turn that into a structured, exclusive business. Here’s how the model works, what you can earn, and how it differs from simply investing in a charging station.
What is a C&F (Carrying and Forwarding) partnership?
A C&F partnership is a district-wise dealership. As an authorised partner, you’re assigned an exclusive operating zone and become the local face of the brand – supplying, installing, and servicing EV chargers across your area. Instead of building a company from scratch, you plug into an established product range, software platform, training, and support system, and focus on winning and serving customers in your territory.
At AAAL Greens Energy, the C&F programme is built around a few clear principles:
Exclusive district zones: each dealership is uniquely assigned on a district basis, so you’re not competing with another AAAL partner in your area.
Product supply: AC charging products are supplied by the company, so you always have hardware to sell and install.
Training and support: guidance through installation and setup, plus ongoing operational support.
Defined pricing framework: you operate under an approved pricing and policy structure, which keeps the brand consistent and protects your margins.
How do C&F partners earn?
Partners earn from the day-to-day business of charging infrastructure in their zone: installation, transport and logistics, and service fees, all within the approved framework. Because the territory is exclusive, the demand you build in your district is yours to serve and as EV adoption rises across India, that local demand compounds over time.
Dealership vs. investment: which is right for you?
This is the question that matters most, because the two models suit very different goals.
Choose a C&F partnership if you want to run a regional business – you’re hands-on, you have local relationships, and you want to earn from supplying, installing, and servicing chargers across a district.
Choose an EV charging station investment if you want a hands-off asset – you invest in a charging station that AAAL builds and operates for you, and you earn passive revenue from it over a long horizon without running daily operations.
One is a business you actively run; the other is an asset that works for you. Some partners eventually do both – building a dealership in their district while also owning charging stations as investments.
A note on DC fast charging
There’s an important distinction in the model: DC fast charging projects are directly handled and operated by AAAL, while dealers focus on AC charger supply, installation, and service. Dealers can still participate in DC projects under company guidelines – but the DC hubs themselves sit within the investment side of the business. If large DC hubs are your main interest, the EV charging station investment route is the better fit.
Why partner now
The window for early movers is genuinely open. Public and home EV charging in India is still being built out, exclusive district zones are still available, and the policy environment – FAME II and state EV incentives – actively supports charging infrastructure. Getting in early means securing your territory before competition increases.
Getting started
If a district-wise EV charger dealership sounds like the right fit, our Partner With Us programme lays out the full C&F opportunity – the product range, support, and how zones are assigned. And if you’d rather own charging stations as a passive investment instead of running a dealership, the EV charging station investment programme is the alternative path. Either way, we’ll help you find the model that matches your goals.
